Shine up your vintage or contemporary car, truck, hot rod or motorcycle because it is time to show them off at Johnson County Park and Recreation District’s Cars in the Park Show at Theatre in the Park, 7710 Renner Road, in Shawnee Mission Park.

Scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, the free, public event is for all ages with a DJ playing some golden oldies.

There will be food trucks, raffle prizes, 50/50 pot and silent auction of sports memorabilia.

Proceeds from the Cars in the Park event benefit JCPRD Special Olympics programs so that athletes may afford to participate in many different activities.
