The Parks and Recreation Foundation of Johnson County will host the 4th Annual Gary L. Haller Memorial Golf Tournament from 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 4 at the Tomahawk Hills Golf Course, 17501 Midland Dr., Shawnee.

Registration and event sponsorships are open to the public. Registration includes green fees, cart, snacks and on-course refreshments, catered lunch sponsored by Johnny’s BBQ, range balls, foundation gift and prizes for tournament and specialty hole winners.

Check-in for the tournament will begin at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.

The memorial golf tournament celebrates the life and accomplishments of Haller, JCPRD’s former director, and raises funds that continue to support his vision.

Net proceeds from the event will benefit The Parks and Recreation Foundation of Johnson County, which promotes the development and sustainability of parks, trails, green space, recreation and the arts through advocacy and financial support.
